CleanEvap cleans the air-con system in vehicle without having to completely dismantle components, thus saving time and money. It is a fast acting evaporator cleaner that removes dust, dirt, oil and other odor causing contaminants. Clean Evap does not contain solvents, acids or caustics – non-corrosive, no hazardous fumes, no VOCs, non emulsifying. It is biodegradable, safe to use on plastic, metal and rubber.
AC Odor Shield stops air conditioning odor for up to one year. This formula combines a powerful anti-microbial with a unique moisture-shedding coating. The hydroscopic coating forces moisture to bead and roll off rather than stick to A/C system surfaces. The anti-microbial is embedded in the coating, and kills odor-causing micro-organisms on coated surfaces. Any technician that can replace a Cabin Air Filter (CAF) can apply AC Odor Shield. Simply spray in through the opening while the CAF is out. Dry in ten minutes using the vehicle heating system.
EVAPORATORS USED IN VEHICLES

REASON FOR ODOR
Air conditioning odors typically result from uncontrolled growth of bacteria and other microorganisms in the evaporator. How do these microorganisms get there? They are naturally present in outdoor air, and are drawn into the evaporator during air conditioner operation. Moisture also contributes to A/C odor formation. Most of the moisture that condenses on cold surfaces inside the system drains harmlessly over time.
However, some moisture continues to cling to coil surfaces after the A/C shuts down. Microbial contaminants in the air combine with this lingering moisture in the evaporator. The warm, dark, and moist conditions in the evaporator provide an ideal breeding ground for bacteria, mold, and mildew to grow and generate musty odors.

HOW TO REMOVE THE ODORS
The ideal scenario is to have evaporator core removed and cleaned, however it is costly and time consuming. Therefore it is best to flush the evaporator with Clean Evap solution.
